Sleep Week

Hi Reader!

It's the end of Sleep Week!
Here's some information to help you get the best ZZZZs

Sleep can come very easy to some but for others, lack of sleep is a consistent issue that can be the source of fatigue, fog, and difficulty with participating fully in your day and life.

Here are some tips to improve your sleep:

  1. Maintain a consistent sleep schedule: Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends, to regulate your body's internal clock.
  2. Food and fluid intake timing and quality can significantly affect sleep quality. You've noticed this if you have a greasy or heavy meal close to bed.
  3. Create a comfortable sleep environment:
  4. nvest in a supportive mattress and pillows, and keep your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet for optimal sleep conditions.
  5. Stop fluids before bed to avoid frequently waking up. No one likes to have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night but for some of us this can really make it difficult to go back to sleep. If you find it difficult, refer to item number six below.
  6. Regular exercise can help with improving your ability to fall asleep. Practice pelvic floor relaxation techniques: Incorporate pelvic floor stretches and relaxation exercises into your bedtime routine to release tension and promote better sleep.
  7. Managing your worries and stress will have a significant effect on your sleep quality and your sleep latency, which is your ability to fall asleep quickly. If you're the type of person who tosses or takes greater than 20 minutes to fall asleep, it's important that you come up with techniques. You can consider some meditation, reading a book, or an easy mental activity that allows you to focus on it rather than your worries.
